Reports and news

The Information Office supplies current information about the situation in the Baltic Proper regularly during summertime, and when necessary during the rest of the year:

The reports are usually based on telephone conferences with people within the surveillance group or are written when larger events concerning the environment or condition changes have occurred in the Baltic Proper. The reports are also sent to the authorities concerned (County Administrative Boards, municipalities etc), institutions, special interest organizations, and media for relay to the public.

News is other information that the Information Office wants to supply and draw the public's attention to. For example, during the summer algal blooms, new information is continuously published on the home page as news. News can contain more local information. Announcements about new news is usually not sent out.

The annual reports summarises the last year's events in the Baltic Proper from the perspective of the Information Office.
